Press release - Grindex launches an innovative digital tool, Augmented Reality, at Bauma 2016, Munich
Grindex, a world leader in electrical submersible pumps, is now launching a digital tool based on Augmented Reality. The tool equips users with X-ray vision of the products and with state-of-the-art tools like this, Grindex reaffirms its leading market position within submersible drainage pumps and pumping accessories.
To experience the new Augmented Reality (AR) tool, giving you practically X-ray vision of the Grindex products, visit Grindex at Bauma, 11-17 April 2016 in Munich, Germany, in hall A6 at booth 240.
With this new app all our valued distributors and resellers will have a unified base for presenting Grindex products. “Grindex is giving all partners the same technical information and we believe this will be of magnificent use in informing end users and service personnel worldwide,” says Andreas Malmport, Managing Director for Grindex.
The launch of Grindex first submersible pumps in 1960 started an era of supplying dewatering pumps to the world’s most demanding sites within construction, mining and tunneling. As the pump is the most common and widely used machine equipment in the world today, Grindex aims to use the experience that it gained along the way to share engineering expertise with our customers.
“Simply point the tablet’s camera at a pump and a cut-away image will be added on the screen, providing the user with buttons that explain and/or animate certain features,” Sales Manager Peter Uvemo explains.
“Grindex strives to make sustainability a day-to-day priority for all activities and is dedicated to meeting the highest environmental standards. As a further step in caring for the environment we see that this digital tool makes less impact than a physical cut-away pump that has to be shipped around the world,” adds Mr. Malmport.
The new app will be available for iOS and Android and is preferably run on a 10 inch screen, though even modern smart phones will provide an impressive experience.
Grindex is a world leader in electrical submersible pump technology for demanding applications such as construction, mining and heavy industry. The pumps are known for their high reliability, durability and dependability. Thanks to the built-in motor protection and the air valve, the pumps can run unsupervised for longer periods, and even run dry for a length of time. Grindex was founded in 1940, and has been located close to Stockholm, Sweden, from the start. Since 1960 we've been dedicated to develop absolutely the best quality electrical submersible pumps - designed without compromise for professional users the world over. We strive to offer a pump for every need: drainage, sludge and slurry, in the most challenging environments imaginable. Grindex exports to over 100 countries around the world, and has a subsidiary in the USA (Grindex North America).
